US 74 - SCHEDULED WORK CREW; SIGN INSTALLATION BETWEEN ROBESON / SCOTLAND
COUNTY LINE TO WEST OF LAURINBURG; 1 LANE CLOSED DAILY: 8AM-5PM.
Reported: Apr 17 2009 11:22AM
Ending: May 7 2009 4:59PM
This is also listed under incidents in the Coastal Region on NCDOT's TIMS
website. The area covered, not coincidentally, is where the exit numbers
and mileposts put up for I-74 in October 2007 where it re-starts at the
Laurinburg Bypass to where the new alignment temporarily ended at NC 710
near Pembroke are wrong. The new numbers should be about 27 miles less than
they are. For a listing of the probable new numbers go to my I-74 Progress
page and access the Segments 15 and 16 pages:
http://www.duke.edu/~rmalme/prog74.html .
I'll plan a trip down once the project is complete to confirm the correct
exit numbers for my page and for others collecting the information.
Now if they would only start on the re-signing along the Greensboro Loop...
