Is it known if this part will be signed I-86 when the project is completed in Oct. 2012? |

It probably won't be, but the freeway part is completed now and qualifies for inclusion in the future I-86 route (which currently has a gap here due to the old at-grades). |

Bumping this, since the Parksville project is nearly done everywhere and NY 17/future I-86 have yet to be updated to reflect this (last I checked, it's still planned to be part of I-86 when the rest of the quickway gets designated, which will likely be around 2020-2025 given the pace of the other projects. The Chemung county section is nearly done as well, with the Reed's Crossing interchange (marked OldLowRd) open.

I'm happy to make these changes as part of my maintenance of NY systems. I will await word from Tim on whether it's time to do so now or if the project needs to progress further before we are ready to extend what is called Future I-86 for CHM purposes. |

Based on Jim's post here, it looks like a go on extending I-86FutMon and linking it up with I-86FutCat.
Locking this thread for housekeeping purposes. |
