During a weekend trip into eastern NC, I noticed END/BEGIN NC 149 signage just north of Sandhill Rd, more or less where MapQuest OpenMap shows a change in road type. CHM shows the endpoint as being well north of where the Weyerhauser gate checkpoint is. The checkpoint isn't easily seen on the aerial imagery, but best appears on Bing satellite.
Might be worth looking into to see if NCDOT considers the endpoint where the signage is or well inside the Weyerhauser perimeter.

The NCDOT Washington county map shows NC 149 ending south of Sandhill Road, halfway between Sandhill and the railroad corridor. I'll submit a fix.
