When entering my Maryland clinched highways, I noticed that the MD 355 file stops at I-70 instead of continuing through downtown Frederick. Although the section north of this point is supposedly "locally controlled", it is still well signed as MD 355 up to MD 26. Thus, I think this section should be added. |

We went over this internally a month or so ago. 355 has officially been truncated to I-70. It's not even "locally maintained" through Frederick...SHA dropped it entirely. _________________ Froggie

If that's so, then they really need to remove the MD-355 signage along Market St and its various intersecting routes. They should also add an "END MD-355" sign at the I-70 overpass.
I regularly go to the Costco located on the north side of the I-70 overpass, so I will keep my eye out for any new signage in that area. |

That would be up to the city to remove that signage, since as you noted, that stretch had been "locally maintained" beforehand. SHA's responsibilities for shield removal are limited to the junctions with I-70 and MD 26. _________________ Froggie

The odd part is that the I-70 interchange was closed recently, yet that's the new terminus (a non-intersection). |

The old signage north of I-70 is still there, in abundance, as of today. Maybe it'll be up to the sign thieves to conform the signage to the truncated routing. |
