Well, if it does open tomorrow Tim, here are the new labels it will need. Now, I'm not sure if Exit #23C (NC-115) will be part of I-485 or it will be marked as a Future Interstate on that small section. We will not know till somebody field checks it once it opens.
And we also need an interchange added to I-77 as well, but I have no idea what the interchange number will be. But if I had to guess, it would be Exit #19 seeing it's less than a mile North of Exit #18 (NC-24).

If it were any other state, it'd be straightforward, but since it's NC....
Is it I-485 or Future I-485? |

Hey Tim, don't forget to add the new I-77 exit to the update page.
Oh, and off topic for a second, the way this is signed is kinda like I-295's Northern End in Jacksonville. Remember that debate we had about that Tim? They have I-295 signage @ the US-17 exit past the Northern I-295/I-95 interchange for South I-295. It looks exactly like the I-485 interchange with NC-115.

But I'm not trying to change your mind on this one. However, signage now @ that interchange shows the FL-9A segment as I-295 East Beltway. I have pictures from 6/29/08 showing this that Freewayjim took while down there. So, in other words, it could be debated that we could officially extend I-295 from Exit #35(I-95) to Exit #36(US-17) now. |
