Zooming in to US 61, and then later I-55, in the highway browser I noticed some curious offsets. What really brought it to my attention was looking at the lines via the Memphis inset.
-The east I-40/55 interchange noticeably deviates southwestward from the line and is not at the interchange. It should be this:
http://maps.google.com/?ll=35.154863,-90.147843&spn=0.015789,0.022831
-I-55 exit 8 and "I-55(8)" on US 61 are not in the same place; the latter is southeast (down and to the right) from the former. The I-55 point is correct.
I assume the same issues may exist in the other US routes along that segment. It's nothing really big, just a little off. |

Well, I do plan on all my routes (like TN US-61) to double check all my data placements and repair if necessary. It will be part of my "shape point" process for each of my routes. Right now, I'm working on doing that with GA. I'll put TN next for when I want a break from the State/Provincial highways.
BTW, you're thinking of the placement of I-55 Exit #7, not #8. US-61 intersects @ #7 in TN. |

I was referring to West Memphis, Arkansas, as seen in the inset for Memphis, Tennessee. I probably should've put the state in the title. |
