Froggie, I respectfully disagree with removing that section of I-464 south of I-64. I just downloaded the most recent AADT from VDOT and it still shows that as part of I-464.
http://virginiadot.org/info/resources/AADT_PrimaryInterstate_2008.pdf
Here's the screenshot from it:
(there is also a South I-464 line too)
This is all on page 489 (and even on page 77), so I respectfully request that be re-added. |

Signage, VDOT's route log, and Mike Roberson's research through the CTB minutes show otherwise, hence why I eliminated "Interchange 0". _________________ Froggie

To elaborate further, that item from the traffic log is an artifact from pre-roughly-1999, when the "southern extension" was simply a 4-lane connector from the 64/464 interchange to where it meets the Dominion Blvd/Great Bridge Rd (US 17/VA 190) intersection. _________________ Froggie

Froggie has the END I-464 shield photographed in the I-Guide:
http://www.interstate-guide.com/i-464_va.html#south_end
It agrees with his corrective truncation. VDOT was either mean or overly thorough by putting what they did in the AADT file - and had me fooled too for awhile. |

At the other end, what are the 6A and 6B points designating?
Is 6A the northbound I-464 exit to State St and 6B for the I-264/I-464 interchange? The 6B point is kind of "in the middle of nowhere" due to the interchange configuration east of the Downtown Tunnel on I-264. |

Yes, that's more or less the case. 6A for State St and 6B for I-264. _________________ Froggie
