Yowza. I gather it's rearing its head in the form of not knowing whether to label a point ON20 or RR20...

No, it's more like knowing what IS really ON-20 and what is RR-20. HAHA.

Well, I'm mainly trying to follow what is said on the http://www.onthighways.com website, however, some of the routes on the site were never completed (like ON-3). So, I don't have the faintest ideas where some the route changes from ON-3 to RR-3 or vice versa.

Going back to the February discussion about the end of ON-417 in Arnprior, what happened there (since I was living there when the 417 was extended to Arnprior) is that the road to Pakenham (which I think is now RR-29 though it was ON-15 before that and ON-29 before that) originally intersected with two-lane ON-17 at a set of traffic lights.

When they extended 417, for safety reasons, built an interchange to the east, and shifted the alignment of RR-29 to the east. RR-29 now crosses ON-417 on what had been the ON-17 alignment while ON-417 says further south than (the former?) ON-17 between Arnprior and Antrim.
