And so PA has lost its only quintuplex but gained a new one (I-279/I-379/Truck US 19/US 22/US 30) and a sextuplex.

At some point, you must have been traveling on
I-279 North
I-376 East
US 19 North
Truck US 19 North
Truck US 19 South
US 22 East
US 30 East
all at once.

Is that a sextuplex or a septuplex?

Anyway, I need to recheck the sign contract dates to see if it's worth waiting for the exit number changes before extending I-376 to I-79. If it's not rather soon, I'll just extend I-376 with a bunch of ##(279) labels. Edit: OOps, that's what you said. I got distracted by the pictures.

The guide sign for the Parkway at 79 SB still says 279 as well.

Just about the time I was watching the Stanley Cup come down the Boulevard of the Allies, I got an e-mail informing me that my 279 and 376 Exit Guides are out of date. I didn't get to check out 279 to see if its numbers have been changed, but I doubt they have.

The interchange I was missing was a bus interchange. Still, you could clinch a piece of I-376/US 22/US 30 that ends at that interchange if you rode a bus.

Tonight I've extended I-376 in the project and decided to just use all the new exit numbers, since they are going up in the next few weeks. The four concurrent US highways are updated now, too. When the new exit numbers are posted, I'll update I-279 and Truck US 19 to match.

They weren't changed as of yesterday, so I don't think that would have happened in less than 24h. lol.

Hey Tim, on that "64C" label, I would center that on the Busway and not Arch St since that's what the exit is for.

Also, I would somehow work in a point for Poplar St (right beside Exit 67/4A[I-279]). Maybe give it the label of 67A.

Also, maybe add a hidden point just East of Exit 65. Looks like it could really benefit from it.

Start making the I-279 Exit number changes Tim. New exit numbers are showing up on the Parkway North.

Picture from a PennDOT webcam via KDKA:

However, exit numbers don't seem to be changing yet on I-376/I-279. You can tell by the Exit #5C still being posted for Carson Street.

Just was checking again today, and they still haven't gotten up to the Bellevue interchange at least. It's still posted as Exit #14.

But with the new exit numbers posted up to McKnight Road (they have been redone in Downtown on I-279 per a post @ AARoads), Tim; I think we should go ahead and make the changes ASAP. Agree?

EDIT: Nevermind me. I just saw you updated I-279 on the updates page. Razz Embarassed lol.

EDIT #2: Tim, I thought we were going to be keeping I-279 along the newly extended I-376 till the shields were pulled down (which might not be for another year....). Also, I would Exit #1C (PA-28) to the site or at least the HOV interchange for Anderson St using the 1C label. Or, for the best of two worlds, have a centered point in the middle for both of them.

Whoops, the multiplex points weren't supposed to disappear and they did.

LOL Tim.

Anyways, do you agree with me about a possible Exit #1C point for I-279 and a possible Exit #67A point for I-376/I-279 that I mentioned in previous posts here on Page #4?

I'll look into this weekend.

Can you get a series of traffic cam photos of PennDOT replacing that Exit 14 tab?

Only if PennDOT keeps the camera pointed @ that #14 exit sign. Because it isn't pointed that way right now.

Honestly, I think I would have better luck catching them changing the Carson St. Exit #5C sign if anything since that camera is pointed @ it 24/7.

EDIT: I should have been watching the Hazlett St camera (Exit #4 for McKnight sign). lol. PennDOT overnight put up the "Old Exit" sign. lol. ( http://kdka.com/webcams/26.567214.html?wmid=44 )

Well Tim, you predicted that it would be changed last night and it was. Too bad they had the camera turn the other way. Sad

It's now shown as Exit #7 today.
