The Highway Browser has US 70 splitting off from I-10 at exit 22, following Main Street to I-10BL Lordsburg. But signage on I-10 in both directions, and I-10BL at its junction with Main Street, now clearly has US 70 splitting off from I-10 at exit 24, and following I-10BL to Duncan Highway. Main Street is now signed only as NM 494, on the route itself (northbound at least) and I-10 (eastbound exit 22 at least).
I didn't take photos, but GMSV confirms some of what I saw:
Westbound I-10 at exit 24
Westbound I-10 at exit 22
Eastbound I-10 at exit 24
Eastbound I-10 at exit 22
The route file for I-10BL Lordsburg shows only the Duncan Highway intersection with US 70. But it should be changed to add a point for NM 494 at Main Street, just east of the Duncan Highway intersection, or rename the US 70 point as US70/494 if we're going to treat the Duncan Hwy and Main Street intersections as part of one complex intersection. The latter is defensible, since northbound NM 494 traffic crosses I-10BL then takes a sharp left to get to US 70 without ever traveling on I-10BL, though southbound US 70 traffic seems to travel briefly on eastbound I-10BL to get to southbound NM 494. |

Bumping this topic, to make sure it's included in updates underway to US routes in NM.
This does not affect any NM state routes, since NM 494 already includes the former US 70 segment between I-10(22) and I-10BL.
