Interstate 94 and BL Interstate 94 (Jackson):
The I-94/Sargent Road interchange near Jackson (145) is being redone, and the project is underway.

The project involves the entire removal of exit 144, and (from everything I've read in the CitPat and local TV stations) the I-94 Business Loop is going to be extended eastwardly along Ann Arbor Road to Sargent and then use Sargent at the interchange. I have seen nothing of the business loop is realigned off of Ann Arbor Road and onto US 127, the only other logical possibility. The Exit 144 ramps will be closed permanently sometime late-September or early-October as the rest of the project is finishing up. Sargent Road is being ever so slightly realigned, so it might or might not require a tweak in the HB for its location.

Ambassador Bridge/Gateway Project:
MDOT, inspired by a court order-induced deadline, is running very far ahead of schedule now, and the Gateway Project is supposed to be completed by October. This effects I-75 and I-96 with some new ramps and exit numbers that had not been open. Traffic is now able, as of this weekend, to merge directly from the bridge onto I-75 at the realigned 47B and I-96 and the new 192B. As mentioned before, I-75's new 47C and I-96's new 192A (both to Vernor Highway) have been open for a while. The exit ramps for 47B and 192B could open as soon as Labor Day. I-96's new end is a about 2000 feet south of the 192B ramps.

I-96, M-104, and M-231:
It appears that some information is finally leaking out of West Michigan about this. Nothing likely this year will be needed regarding M-231 proper, as 2013 is expected to be the completion of the first leg of the new Super-2. There is going to be a reconfiguring of the Exit 9/Exit 10 complex, per the GR Press (via MLive) and the MDOT proposals, but it is still vague how much of this will be completed by October (as the GR Press says). There will be new ramps that connect to M-231 from I-96 that may or may not be considered separate from the current Exit 9. Slide 9 of MDOT's proposal ( http://tinyurl.com/M-231meeting ) illustrates it. If the GR Press is right, it might warrant changes in the HB come October along with the aforementioned projects. Based on other interchanges in Michigan, it could become Exit 8.

That looks to be about it for now.
Cheers.

I-96 and Latson Road
Even though it is a year off, I'm adding it for completeness: It was just announced that the proposed interchange at Latson Road on I-96 (just west of exit 141) is expected to be built in the spring and be finished by next autumn. No current word on the exit number or if this will effect exit 141.
