The map shows US11 and 64 turning eastward at 20th St (eventually meandering onto 23rd) from Broad St and continuing north along Dodds Ave. before again turning east thru the McCallie Tunnel. The HB currently has the roads continuing along Broad to MLK/McCallie.

Must be a recent change they finally got around to finalizing. I can confirm from my photos that 11/64 was signed to turn from northbound Broad to eastbound 20th as early as 2007, but there were still 11/64 reassurance shields on northbound Broad St north of 20th at the time, and TDOT maps of the time still had 11/64 going through the heart of downtown. I can't get to the 2013 map at sea here, but I would surmise they routing change has been finalized. _________________ Froggie

This has been brought up before. I'll try to fix up that all in the next few days. Just wish StreetView would have been updated recently in that area (2007/2008 imagery). |

The 2013 map shows a "red" line (for US-11/64) on 20th and 23rd Street with a TNs-2 shield and then up Dodds Avenue.
Also the PDF for SW Chattanooga linked in the first posts shows the same thing. It also shows the reroute that isn't posted for US-76 up Market Street (AASHTO approved in 2001) which is already in the HB.
The weird thing is that the PDF shows a US-72 shield North of where it was suppose to end (Broad Street @ Main Street). Was US-72 also extended North? I can't remember a submission to the AASHTO for that route as well. However, the 2013 TN State Map does show Broad Street as red up to MLK Blvd and then across MLK Blvd to the new US-76 end @ US-127.
Why can't TDOT post this all correctly in the field. Ugh. I'll be for sure including the US-11/64 rerouting, but will hold off on extending US-72 till I can get more info on that one to make sure that isn't a mistake on the TDOT maps. |

We've been over this before. It's not TDOT's responsibility...it's the city's. Same as with Memphis. _________________ Froggie

Submitted a fix for this tonight. Also includes labeling fixes for all the intersecting routes (US-41, US-72, & US-76). |

The reroute of US-11/64 in Chattanooga is now in the HB.
