Curiosity Question:
Why is US 79 in Arkansas shown as duplexed with US 70 instead of I-40 in CHM?
Street View shows 79 posted to follow I-40 and I did not see any 79 postings along US 70 in GSV that I could find...

It's a good question. So US 79 (but not US 70) followed I-40 during the GMSV years of 2007-08. Is it still there?
The official Arkansas maps are useless because they do not show more than one designation on any route. So I-40, I-55, and US 70 are shown, but US 79 is not shown.
The official Tennessee maps are useless because they are dated from 2002 or don't show enough Memphis detail. The 2002 maps show US 79 entering TN with I-55 and several other US highways rather than following I-40.
The online tile maps (based on Navteq and TeleData, surely more up-to-date than 2008 but not so convincing) show US 79 following US 70 and I-55 rather than I-40, as if US 79 was moved off of I-40.
So I can't tell with certainty what the current US 79 routing is. |

Yes, but the state map doesn't show relevant detail to answer the US 79 question. |

The signs on the road show the duplex with I-40 and then I-55, not a duplex with US70. The signs in street view are the ones that were there on 12/31/2012. |

Thanks, that was the confirmation I was looking for. I'll move US 79 in the HB. |
