Connecticut is renumbering exits on all highways to be milepost based. But they're only doing it as the signs wear out across an entire road, so they expect it will take 20 years to replace everything.

I-395 and CT2A are already done (last year some time), although the latest published route log (see link "Highway Log" near the bottom of the DOT publications page) is from 2014 and does not have the new numbers.

This article has the most legible list of old/new numbers for both routes that I've seen, and claims there won't be more changes for several more years.

I see you (or someone with your username) registered for the new TravelMapping forum. Come check it out. Discussion is pretty lively. I suggest posting over there instead; I think there's a better likelihood your posts will be seen & addressed quickly over there. This forum is Mostly Dead these days, IMO.
Anyway, I-395 has been updated to the new exit numbers in the TravelMapping HB, though I see that CT2A still needs to be updated. Oh, and CT12 as well, as it has multiple interchanges w/I-395.

CT2A:
I-395(80) -> I-395(11), at the very least.
The article you linked suggests that I-395(79A) -> 4, 1 -> 5, and 2 -> 6. Do you know if these changes have been posted in the field yet?

Edit: I've started a topic in the new forum for CT2A.
