This started as a just needing to extend I-278 to I-95 & pals at the Bruckner Interchange [gitHub issue], but quickly mushroomed into some fairly major interstate cleanup and exit renumbering. Listing all my changes here in this thread. At least a couple more routes should get caught in the dragnet by the time this is all said & done.

95:
5A added
5 hidden in situ
5B added
6A added (tweaked after addition to I-278 to avoid false+ plex)
6 +-> 6B
7C repositioned
12 repositioned
18 -> 18A
existing 18A -> 18B
+x02 deleted
+x04 deleted
22 repositioned
+x05 deleted

278:
3 added
(6 *could* be repositioned to the crossroad, but stays.)
9 folded into 8
(10 *could* be repositioned to the crossroad, but stays.)
12A deleted
13A added
13 +-> 13B; repositioned
16 repositioned
labels 18 & 19 swapped; new 19 (old 18) moved from Fort Hamilton Pkwy N to 6th St (non-news.)
20 & +21 folded into single point
23 repositioned
24 repositioned to coords from NY27
I *could* reposition 26 to the (Clinton St et al) crossroad, and make the Battery Tunnel / I-478 Exit 25, but naah. 26 is already in use, and it would just result in ugly out-of-order waypoint labels. I don't need to get that Texas about things.
...But I WILL recenter 26 to the center of the three-level, and move the point in I-478 to match.
29 +-> 29B
30 recentered slightly
31 moved from Kent Ave to Wythe Ave
32 +-> 32A; repositioned
32B added
34 moved from Morgan Ave to Vandervoort Ave
39E added
36 +-> 39W
37 -> 40
38 +-> 41 NEWSWORTHY; recentered to coords from NY25A
39 +-> 42 NEWSWORTHY; recentered
existing 40 -> 43 NEWSWORTHY
existing 41 -> 44 NEWSWORTHY
existing 42 -> 45 NEWSWORTHY
+x01 replaced with 46A
existing 43 -> 46 NEWSWORTHY
existing 44 -> 47 NEWSWORTHY
existing 45 -> 48 NEWSWORTHY; moved from 149th St to 138th St
existing 46 -> 50 NEWSWORTHY (While 49 may be more appropriate as the exit number for I-895, this label is already in use elsewhere. 50 is not.)
existing 47 -> 51 NEWSWORTHY
existing 48 -> 52 NEWSWORTHY
49 +-> 53
I-95 +999 -> 54; recentered to ~coords from I-95 6A. Newsworthy?
New I-95 +999 farther east at the meat of the Bruckner Interchange with I-95 & pals

87: align waypoints at intersections:
recenter 8(NYST) for extra credit
recenter 10(NYST) to coords from US9W
recenter 11(NYST)
recenter 12(NYST) to coords from NY303
recenter 13(NYST) to coords from PalIntPkwy 9
recenter 14A(NYST) to coords from GarStaPkwy

287:
recenter 14A(87) to coords from GarStaPkwy
recenter 13(87) to coords from PalIntPkwy 9
recenter 12(87) to coords from NY303
recenter 11(87)
recenter 10(87) to coords from US9W
recenter 8(87) for extra credit
recenter 1 to coords from NY119
recenter 2 to coords from NY9A
recenter 3 to coords from SprBroPkwy

Either do something with Central Westchester Pkwy / 7 / [8W] / 8... or leave it alone. Consider NY127.
6 repositioned to coords from NY22
Moved Exit 7 from Bloomingdale Rd (now labeled 8W) to Central Westchester Parkway.
8W coords tweaked
8 -> 8E; repositioned to NY127 / White Plains Ave

recenter 11 to coords from US1
recenter 12; demote in favor of I-95

478: match up I-278 point
NY127: N endpoint (check TDV)
HenHudPkwy: Extend to Bro/Wes
SawMillPkwy: Truncate to Bro/Wes
