See this post @ AARoads. There is a picture there with an official I-22 shield that is now posted.
There is still work going on to post more I-22 shields, but I think we could now promote AL I-22FutJas to AL I-22. But then again, I don't know if they are going to add the I-22 shields between Exits 85 and 93. They might wait on that segment till it connects to I-65, but who knows. |

Well, let's find out which parts of I-22Fut are being signed before making a change. It would be unusual if the Interstate ended at a state or county line.
I think the AASHTO status is that Alabama has conditional approval for I-22, while Mississippi hasn't applied for the designation yet. |

Route is now posted in both states, even though it doesn't connect to I-65 yet, and the I-269 interchange isn't done. |
