An inland relocation of NB935 at Johnson's Mill that's been on my radar has apparently been open since 2010:

Johnson's Mill, New Brunswick, November 12, 2010 A crucial ecological wildlife refuge in Johnson's Mill has been preserved thanks to the rerouting of Route 935 along Shepody Bay, the innermost arm of the Bay of Fundy.

The Honourable Senator Carolyn Stewart Olsen, and the Honourable Claude Williams, New Brunswick Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, today announced the completion of construction on this road diversion project that will see the reduction of vehicle traffic near the first Western Hemispheric Shorebird Reserve at Johnson's Mills.

"" The Government of Canada recognizes the importance of supporting infrastructure initiatives that will strengthen the environment and boost the economy while creating jobs for Canadians, "" said Senator Carolyn Stewart Olsen, on behalf of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities. "" Projects such as the Route 935 Johnson's Mill route diversion will provide economic opportunities and better access to New Brunswick's natural beauty for all Canadians to enjoy. ""

"" The Johnson's Mill reserve is a New Brunswick treasure, and one that our government is committed to preserving, "" said Minister Williams. "" It is gratifying to see our construction work make a difference in protecting this ecologically critical habitat while maintaining access for the thousands of people who visit the refuge each year. ""

The Shorebird Reserve along Shepody Bay is an area of nutrient-rich mudflats and roosting beaches that attract millions of migrating shorebirds every summer. The birds, in turn, attract bird watchers and other tourists from all over the world. Route 935 takes these visitors to the mudflats.

The project involved the construction of a 2.3 km route diversion on Route 935 to relocate the road further inland. The relocation of the road helps take traffic out of the buffer zone that is crucial to the ecological integrity of Shepody Bay. It also eliminates the repeated stabilization efforts and provides anyone using the road with safe access to the Shorebird Reserve.

The Government of Canada is contributing $810,000 under the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund to support this initiative. The province of New Brunswick is providing a matching contribution of $810,000 through the 2009- 2010 and 2010- 2011 Department of Transportation Capital Budgets for the balance of the project's cost.

Canada and New Brunswick are working together to create jobs and boost the economy, while making significant investments that help communities improve their infrastructure. Both governments have agreed to work together to ensure that these funds are delivered quickly and efficiently so that construction can begin as soon as possible.

In New Brunswick, 59 projects, totaling a federal investment of close to $91 million, have been announced since the launch of the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund.

The old alignment is in the 4.0 GeoBase shapefiles, and the new alignment is in the 5.0 shapefiles. I'll use GISplunge to SegGump both routes, and then find the points at which they diverge for OldNB935_W & OldNB935_E points.
