Both the Newberg-Dundee Bypass and the Sunrise Freeway are under construction, both as two lane bypasses with intersections as Phase I implementations (with upgrades to freeways in Phase II or III as funding allows).
This will affect several routes. It's unclear if OR 99W will be rerouted or if OR 18 is extended on the NDB (or ODOT will up and give it a new number entirely), but suspicions indicate OR 18 will be extended.
OR 224 WILL be rerouted onto the Sunrise, but it's not clear if 212 will be as well or if it will stay on the current alignment.
As far as Cornelius Pass Rd goes, ODOT's looking at adopting the road from US 26 to US 30 into the state system. It will also be looking at dropping some routes to the local level. For through routes suddenly cut in the middle (US 26 in Gresham, for example), I will leave alone. If they are truncated at an end (say, OR 10 between OR 219 and OR 217), I will reflect that. And if the entire route is decommissioned (OR 120 in north Portland), it'll be removed. I have no idea at this point what number Cornelius Pass Rd will be, though I speculate it'll be an OR 2xx route. |
