Passing through Torrington earlier today, I noticed a slight reroute of US 85, to carry through traffic over a busy rail line. The old alignment is now Business US 85. Mapnik shows the new US 86 alignment and new junction point with US 26 (which is also affected), but doesn't specifically identify the route number for the short bypassed alignment. Google Maps does show the new route number. The state route number for the old alignment stays there, rather than moving to the new US 85 alignment.
I've left Wyoming for good on this trip, but am back in Colorado where I can create more trouble.  |
