There goes one of the famous trivia bits of the interstate system created as a consequence of the freeway revolt (I-70 ending at a park-and-ride).

In Laredo, SOUTHBOUND US 59 is going to go counterclockwise NORTHBOUND around Laredo. That makes no sense. There is an "option" to have it end at future I-69 (the bypass), in which case it will still be SB I-69 going northbound around the city.

It makes sense to reroute US 59 out of downtown Laredo (that part will now be Business US 59). Since Loop 20 isn't complete south of Laredo, the short northward jog to take US 59 over the northern half of Loop 20 makes sense, especially since it takes US 59 directly to a border crossing while the southern part of Loop 20 wouldn't.

AR US49 relocation & business route, Brookland: already in the HB; nothing to do here.
AR US63 relocation & business route, Bono: already in the HB, but the AR230 point on US63 could be recentered.
AR US167 relocation & business route, Sheridan: needs action. US270 affected.

NE US34: open Nov 2014. So, Iowa still has time to get their application in.

ND US85 relocation & business route, Alexander: open fall 2014.
ND US85 relocation & business route, Watford City: open fall 2014.

TX I-69: stitches I-69 & I-69Sug together. Pending FHWA approval.
TX I-69C extension to FM490: open Feb 2015. Pending FHWA approval.
TX I-69ERob extension to FM892: open Nov 2014. Pending FHWA approval.
TX I-69W, Laredo: Pending FHWA approval.
TX US59, Laredo: Pending FHWA approval -- but US59Bus was unconditionally approved?
TX US59BusLar: Approved, but mainline US59 is pending FHWA approval?

For the TX segments, I'm going to wait until there's word of FHWA approval and signage in the field.
NE & ND relocations aren't open yet. This leaves just a couple AR edits for me to do for the time being.

The part of MD I-70 east of I-695 is one that is clearly part of I-70 while it is also clearly beyond the end of I-70 (contradiction). The signs viewed from different directions of traffic have long showed the disagreement, while the DOT docs call it I-70. It's good to see that contradiction resolved.

And it was interesting to see the app cite "excessive speeds" on that section. The 25 mph section in the last mile is one of the few in the Interstate system where it is fairly safe to go 2-3 times the speed limit (but not for a long distance) without a threat of crashing due to speed. The cops waiting in the median also know this.

This update wouldn't be too hard for me to do for US-11/70 once it's posted in the field. Wink Only would require one other route to be tweaked, and that would be US-441 because of a short multiplex with it.
