Good morning!

I apologize to bring this up, should you already be aware. I wanted to bring up the truck routes I posted on the US30 thread but got buried in tangential and off-topic discussions. I followed these routes and checked them out from different angles to confirm the routing and the clarity of signage. They've been included below so they can be added in the next data update (whenever that may be). Have a great day!

-------------------------

US 30 Truck: This route follows I-376 up to Clinton Road. It is technically signed on US 22/30 between the US 30/PA 978 exit and I-376, as well. There were signs on US 30 EB approaching US 22 that pointed to the WB Truck route and US 30 EB. I believe they signed it this way for trucks attempting to access US 30 WB from US 22 EB and PA 978 NB. The routing (as signed) is here: http://tinyurl.com/US30T-PA

US 19 Truck (Harlansburg): This route uses PA 956, Eastbrook Road, PA 388, and PA 108. It has its southern terminus in Harlansburg at the intersection of US 19 and PA 108. See here: http://tinyurl.com/US19TrkHar

PA 65 Truck (New Castle): This route uses US 422 and Business US 422 on the south side of New Castle. See here: http://tinyurl.com/PA65TrkNC

PA 65 Truck (Bellevue area): This route uses I-79, Neville Road, PA 51, and McKees Rocks Bridge. See here: http://tinyurl.com/PA65TrkBel

PA 488 Truck: This route uses PA 65, PA 388, US 422, and US 19 in a long detour that seems almost illogical in so many ways. See here: http://tinyurl.com/PA488Trk

PA 51 Alternate: I happened to notice that there was a strange mix of fixed/mounted and temporary signage for an Alternate 51 in Pittsburgh. I think the temporary signage was because these signs were in the construction zones along PA 65. I include the route for completeness, but I'm not that knowledgeable about its existence other than having followed it[...]. See here: http://tinyurl.com/PA51Alt

There are also some new "TO Truck PA-51" shields along I-279 and also in Downtown Pittsburgh because of the new weight limits on the Liberty Bridge. But since they are posted with the "TO" banner on top, they wouldn't qualify for the site here. Still, I just wanted to make a mention about this.

Correction (was half awake when I made the last post):

The two routes are posted as:
TRUCK
TO
PA-51

Still, it doesn't qualify for the site because of the "TO" banners, but I wanted to correct myself on this subject.

PA 488 Truck: Perhaps there are bridge issues near Wurtemburg Cemetery? If so, there might not be a usable truck route closer than US422.

On Jan. 7, PennDOT uploaded their 2013 county maps. They don't appear to have included the many recently posted truck routes in the new maps, so they aren't going to be helpful in finding all the ones that have not yet been reported to us nor will they give confirmation to routings. If more truck routes are found, start new threads. This thread will close when these 6 routes are handled.

US 30 Truck: I need a better explanation of this route. The trace linked the first post shows a route that is hard to believe, with the truck route doubling back on itself for no apparent reason.

US 19 Truck Harlansburg, PA 65 Truck New Castle, PA 65 Truck McKees Rocks, PA Truck 488: Added in next data update.

PA 51 Alt: Is this a permanent route or a temporary due to construction projects?

Sorry, sir. I think this might be my fault in the handling of Google Maps. Regardless, the route (heading EB) is Clinton Road to I-376 east; I-376 to US 22/30 west; US 22/30 back to US 30/Lincoln Highway.

Here's an updated map:

There is WB Truck US 30 signage on EB US 22/30 between Lincoln Highway and I-376 and vice-versa.

It was mentioned in another post that this is almost assuredly a construction detour. I'm inclined to believe that as only one of the signs that I recall looked permanent. The rest were temporary. I mentioned it before for inclusiveness, but I can't find anything about it otherwise.

Thanks.

I think we should talk about this route in this thread since it's already devoted to the Robinson Truck US-30.

Central PA has also begun to see truck routes posted. Certain mapped routes have gotten weight restrictions; I excerpt from http://www.altoonamirror.com/page/content.detail/id/574169/Weight-limits-hit-major-local-roads.html?nav=742 ...

US 22: over Canoe Creek in Frankstown Township, Blair Co.

PA 56 over Barefoot Run in West St. Clair Township, Bedford Co.

PA 867 over Halter Creek in Bloomfield Township, Bedford Co.

PA 160 over the North Branch of the Little Conemaugh in Wilmore, Cambria Co.

PA 26 over Murray Run in Oneida Township, Huntingdon Co.

PA 26 over Muddy Run in Huntingdon, Huntingdon Co.

While I do not know if most of these have "truck" routes now posted, I was in the area this past Sunday (30 March) and saw signs posted for the north end of PA 867 Truck, which apparently follows PA 36 through Roaring Spring. The actual route taken is unclear as I didn't see any signs *south* of Roaring Spring. I'm looking for references.
