This AARoads thread discusses a few changes to state highways in Kansas.
They're shown on the KDOT Transportation Map

Checklist:
4 11 14 17 18 61 86 96 114 153 175
50 54 56 400
showconc
CSVs

KS14:
KS14 has been moved east to take over KS17 between US54/400 and KS96 south of Hutchinson. It then overlaps KS96 to the northwest to rejoin the existing 14/96 duplex. The former route between US54/400 and KS61 has been redesignated KS11. The segment between KS61 and KS96 is no longer state highway.
Code:
(USA) Kansas KS 14: Removed from KS 11 and Sego Rd and relocated onto 100th Ave, Monroe St and KS 96 between US 54/400 and the intersection of KS 96 and Sego Rd.

KS11:
This is the new designation of the former KS14 between US54/400 and KS61.
Code:
(USA) Kansas KS 11: Added route.

KS17:
This designation is no more, as it's been taken over by the new KS14.
It gets removed from the highway list, and KS17 becomes an alternate route name for KS14. The old endpoint labels become hidden alternate labels for the corresponding points in the new KS14 file.
Code:
(USA) Kansas KS 17: Deleted route.

US54/400:
Code:
(USA) Kansas US 54/400: Moved waypoint KS14_N from KS 11 (now labeled KS11) to 100th Ave.

KS96:
Code:
(USA) Kansas KS 96: Moved waypoint KS14_S from Sego Road (now labeled SegoRd) to Monroe Street about 2.7 mi south of US 50.

KS 86 & 175:
Code:
(USA) Kansas KS 86: Deleted route.
(USA) Kansas KS 175: Deleted route.

US50, US56 & KS4:
Non-newsworthy label changes due to all that stuff that happened above.

KS61:
Non-newsworthy label changes due to the KS14 relocation.
KS61 has been upgraded to an expressway between Hutchinson and McPherson. In some places, two new carriageways were built to the immediate northwest of the existing alignment, which was then obliterated. Other bypasses were built a bit farther away. Doesn't look like anything north of 30th Ave was twinned in place, but I'll look again.

Edit: I'm looking again. :) And now, it appears that the existing roadway was twinned from roughly here to roughly here.
OK, there. I've checked out the entire length of the realignment and am satisfied that's the only place it happened.

KS18:
(USA) Kansas KS 18: Removed from Skyway Drive and Stagg Hill Road, and relocated onto a parallel freeway, between the closed Walnut Street intersection and the closed Stagg Hill Road intersection.

KS114:
A relocation of KS114 is part of the whole deal.
All of this will make for some awkward updates page entries. I'll take that discussion over to the USAKS thread on the collabs board.

Looks like the whole 11/14/17 mess may not be sorted out in the field yet... :(

Nope. K-17 signs were in place when I clinched the route two days ago.

Well, it looks like they finally got their act together, and made the change today... saw it on the news locally ... no links to post yet. All this time... for decals to paste over signs!

Oh well... it is what it is. Case closed!

AASHTO October 2013:
(USA) Kansas US 40: Removed from 6th Street between KS 10 and US 59, and relocated onto KS 10 and US 59.
(USA) Kansas US 40 Business (Russell): Deleted route.

To be deleted:
(USA) Kansas US 40 Spur (Lawrence): Deleted route.
(USA) Kansas US 59 Spur (Lawrence): Deleted route.

US40SprLaw doesn't connect to US40 anymore, so that's right out, isn't it? I took a look, and neither US40Spr nor US59Spr are signed in GMSV, labeled on the KDOT city map, or listed on route56.com or us-highways.com. I'm not sure where I got the idea to include these when drafting the KS US routes back in `07. ZAP!

Recently deleted state highways:
KS46 June 3, 2013.
KS76 June 17, 2013
KS163 June 1, 2013.
KS201 June 3, 2013.
KS202 October 11, 2013.
KS203 October 11, 2013.
KS219 April 15 or May 1
KS224 October 11, 2013.
KS245 June 17, 2013
KS277 June 1, 2013.

Routes to watch for potential deletion:
KS86
KS168
KS175
KS215
KS256

Files to submit:
usaks.csv usaks_con.csv

I have to say that's a stupid reroute of US 40.

Tim, the following three updates are listed on the Updates page, but have not been changed in the HB:

(USA) Kansas US 40 Business (Russell): Deleted route.
(USA) Kansas US 40 Spur (Lawrence): Deleted route.
(USA) Kansas US 59 Spur (Lawrence): Deleted route.

The US 40 documentation seems to imply to me that the Lawrence reroute won't be in effect until April.
Quote:
Date facility available to traffic 4/5/2014

The spur still does connect to US 40/59, since US 40 is being rerouted onto K-10 and US 59 and the spur extends north from the 40/59 interchange.

For the spurs, neither one is signed, and there is no evidence of them on the KDOT maps.
