Traveling on the island in June, I noticed construction underway to significantly realign about four miles of TCH 1, roughly halfway between Borden and Charlottetown. The east end of the project is near PE 9.

I doubt the project will be completed this year, but the above 2012 document estimates a two-year construction timeframe, which means maybe completion in 2014.
I didn't see any indication of other projects for new or realigned highways on PEI. |
