Along with all the new exit numbers associated with the extension of A-30, new numbers have been assigned to A-35, perhaps in anticipation of a southward extension of the freeway (old exit 1 is at the south end, which won't work if new exits are added to the south).

I didn't take down the new exit numbers, but I'm pretty sure that 14 -> 55.

I found them on Quebec's MoT's road map:

http://www.quebec511.gouv.qc.ca/images/fr/carte_routiere/PDF/c13_carton_StJean_Richelieu.pdf

If they're already posted (sounds like they are), I'll update the waypoint labels in the HB.

Do you recall if there is an exit number at A-10? Does 55 apply to the Ch. Brunelle interchange, the A-10 interchange, or both?

Sorry, I don't recall.

See http://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=5910.msg220759#msg220759 for more info on exit numbering changes on A-35 (not sure it answers all of the above questions), as well as the A-35 extension underway to the U.S. border.

I noticed that all but one of the exit numbers in that AARoads post are off by 1 from the QC Transport map quoted further upthread.

Resurrecting this thread as I took A-35 and the new extension to QC 133 yesterday enroute to the Quebec City meet. I believe Oscar is taking it today.

The new terminus at QC 133 (between Pike River and St. Sébastian) does not have an exit number. It's located just south of KM15, so I would guess it will become Exit 14 in the future.

Unlike the map in that AARoads thread, there is no exit at QC 227.

There is a half-interchange to/from the south at Chemin de la Grande-Ligne Est. It's Exit 36.

Where the new alignment meets the former endpoint connector to QC 133 is now a half-interchange to/from the north and is Exit 38.

Here's now the exit numbers changed:

3-->39
6-->42
7-->43
9-->45
11-->47
14-->50

To answer Tim's question, yes there are separate exit numbers for the two exits at A-10. The ramp to Chemin Brunelle to A-10 East, signed as A-10 Est, is 55E. The direct loop ramp to A-10 Ouest (West) is signed as Exit 55O.

But other exits are like that too, including A-35 exit 47 which has separate 47-O and 47-E numbers for different ramps within what is unquestionably a single interchange. (Quebec consistently includes the hyphen, which keeps people from thinking 47O is actually 470. We should do likewise, if we use separate waypoints for 55-O and 55-E.) Also, advance signage from the south identifies the A-10 interchange as just exit 55. The different ramp numbers, ISTM, don't mean that there are different interchanges, and I would treat the A-10/A-35 junction as a single interchange even though (like many other interchanges) it also connects to a local road.

Also, the connector from A-35 exit 38 to QC 133 is signed only as part of QC 133 (133 multiplexes with A-35 for a few exits north of exit 38), no indication of an A-35 spur or other route we need to account for.

I might have other notes to add after I've had time to digest my notes, photos, and GPS readings (not right away, I'm short on time and will be for the next few days), though I think Froggie has already covered everything important.

A-35 extended south to QC 133 near St. Sebastien, and old exit numbers updated, in Travel Mapping DB.
