This is hinted at on Google Maps, but shows up better on both the 2007-08 INDOT map and on INDOT's 2001 traffic map for Lawrence County. But US 50 has a different alignment in Bedford than what the US 50 list shows, following more of IN 37, then turning east at IN 450. Google Maps shows both this route and the old route as "US 50".
According to RVDroz's US Highways site, there is a BUSINESS US 50 that exists in Bedford.
So here's what I suggest:
- Relabel the IN37_N point as BUS50Bed_W.
- Create a new IN37/450 point at the following location: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=38.860931,-86.520939&spn=0.011713,0.02738&z=16
- Relabel the IN450_E point as BUS50Bed_E.
- Create a BUSINESS US 50 listing for Bedford. _________________ Froggie

Looks like you're right. And Yahoo Maps shows a US 50 Business there too.
Oh the joy of auxiliary routes in Indiana. I think there are more than I have listed, but some I haven't been able to confirm the existence of, thanks to a lack of maintenance and documentation by IN DOT. |
