Work is currently in progress to demolish the double-deck freeway in downtown Seattle and eventually replace it with a tunnel.
The south end of the viaduct has been torn down and replaced with a 4-lane 25mph detour freeway.
Detours are being constructed under the viaduct, though it's unclear whether it will be limited-access or not at this point.
At this point, even with the detour freeway to the east of the demolished viaduct, no action is yet needed. If that changes, the file will be fixed. |
