The person in charge of dealing with the KY files probably knows, given it seems to be big news, but anyway.

One Tuesday, Gov. Steve Beshear will unveil the Interstate 69 shield signs for 55 miles of the Western Kentucky Parkway and Interstate 24.

But I'll use this one and lock the old one. Wink

Anyways, I'll try to have an update submitted within 1-2 weeks of the signs officially going up. Wink

Tim, got a question for you. How should I deal with the splitting of the I-69 Future file?

Right now, the file doesn't have a city name (since it pretty much covered the entire state, it wasn't needed). Now, what should I do with the two "Future" I-69 files that will need to be created (since the posted section will be in the middle of the current file)? Should I just create two new "City" named I-69 Future files, or leave one of them with the original name (the TN to I-24 segment) and give the second one the "City" name?

Have the longer section replace the original route. Add a City but leave the Abbrev blank.

The short section gets a different City and a matching Abbrev.

But of course don't do anything until KY puts up the new signs.

Looks like the signs are up, along the W Ky Parkway anyway.

This article has a video that shows an I-69 sign along the "former" Western Kentucky Parkway.

===

After doing the mileage checks after splitting the file, the section that will retain the "I-69Fut" file name will be the Southern one (52 miles). The Northern segment comes in at 43.8 miles.

Anyways Tim, look for an e-mail in your Inbox sometime today about this. Wink
