The 7th St Bridge between Oregon City and West Linn is closed until October 2012 for rehabilitation, effectively truncating OR 43 from OR 99E to the Willamette Falls Dr (old OR 212), just south of I-205 exit 8.

Detour signs are in place for traffic to cross the Abernathy Bridge (I-205) from exit 8 to 9, then take S McGloughlin Blvd south to Oregon City; TriMet Line 35 has been rerouted as such.

For purposes of clinching, I propose a long-term detour for OR 43 following S McGloughlin/OR 99E from the southern terminal point of OR 43 to I-205 (9), then across the Willamette River via the Abernathy Bridge to exit 8, the northern terminus for the detour.

Nah, we don't cover detour routes for construction projects. Only if the DOT signs OR 43 onto a new route would we change it here.

You could add points to the file for where the detour starts/ends for OR-43. That's all I can suggest.

They aren't tearing the thing down, people. They're fixing it. Except for 1 block, the detour route is already in the browser in the form of other highways. I don't see the need to put something in that isn't marked, that won't add to your totals, and that we know we're going to remove in a couple of years.

No action needed then.
