According to today's Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the new Kapolei Interchange on Interstate H-1 is expected to be completed and opened this August. Some of the new interchange's ramps will open later this month.

The new interchange will be inserted between exits 1 and 2. I don't yet know whether it will be assigned a separate exit number, or if so what the number will be.

I drove through there earlier this month. The closely-spaced exit ramps in that area have been rearranged and some renumbered, and some of that was already reflected in the route file updates I did before I left for Hawaii. I didn't see indications of any further work on the interchanges that will require additional route file updates.
