On MD MD407, I suggest that the waypoint at Bowersox Road be moved to (or an additional waypoint added at) South Marston Road.

Why? There are stop signs here in both directions of MD 407, and directional signs indicating that you need to turn to stay on MD 407.

This has been verified (by me driving the route) as recently as June 28th.

GMSV links follow below:

Eastbound 407 @ South Marston Road. I'm not sure why it's been blurred out, but on top of the bidirectional arrow sign on the right post, that is a "EAST, Maryland 407, --->" sign.

Westbound 407 @ South Marston Road looks like this. The "WEST, Maryland 407, --->" is clearer here.

What's the standard protocol in this kind of situation?

South Marston Road was probably only included to keep the shape of the route within lateral tolerances. Otherwise, it'd not be important enough to include. No other points are needed, really.
