INDOT's Accelerate 465 project is nearing completion and should be finished by the end of the summer, if the schedule holds. A few changes to I-465, I-74, US 136, US 31, and US 52 will need to be made (plus any other duplexed route that I forgot). The interchange with I-465 and I-74 will now only be a junction of those two routes. A separate interchange is nearing completion at Crawfordsville Road and I-465. The section that connects current mainline I-74 and Crawfordsville Road between I-465 and High School Road is being eliminated. As a result, US 136 will at least be truncated to High School Road, if not to I-465. The new interchange needs to be added to the duplexed routes, as well.
The maps on the Accelerate 465 website seem to indicate that the interchange with I-465 and Kentucky Avenue (SR 67) is being eliminated. I cannot confirm or deny this, so I hope someone can shed light on this situation.
