That link is a rather extensive summary. It might be worth it for me to check my work against it.

One thing that hasn't always been clear is when an expressway is a DK route that will later be merged into an S route, or when the expressway is already signed as an S route.

As far as I know, all DK routes that have expressway (S) standards are now signed with an S prefix. DK7 near Plonsk is now signed as S7, for instance. This is an expressway that predates the current S-system, but has since been signed as an S-road.

However, there is another grade-separated road class in Poland, called "Klasy GP" (class of accelerated traffic). These can have DK or DW prefixes, or no number at all. Examples are the Trasa Siekierkowska in Warsaw or the Droga Trasa Srednicowa (downtown highway) in Katowice.

Both S-roads and Class GP roads can also be single carriageway roads with improved design standards, such as overpasses en small shoulders, similar to a Swiss Autostrasse for instance.

I had seen that Polish Wikipedia mentioned some expressways as not having the S number (yet?). Am I missing any S routes (besides a couple of the newest ones whose routing I couldn't find)?

I think you've missed S12 near Puławy. It's basically the bridge across the Vistula rivers plus some approaches, it's 12,7 km long and it opened in 2008. There is also a small bypass of Piaski part of S12 just east of Lublin.

From Polish Wikipedia:

* obwodnica Piask o długości 4,2 km otwarta 11 października 2004 , odcinek wspólny z przyszłą S17 bypass Piask length of 4.2 kilometers is open October 11 2004, shared with the upcoming episode S17

Oba odcinki oznaczone są obecnie jako droga krajowa nr 12. Both sections are marked out as the national road No. 12

That might have been why I left out these sections. Of course, is Wikipedia right?

The Puławy bypass (S12) seems to be signed as DK12 indeed. I've been browsing through a thread with 2,800 posts on the Polish subforum of Skyscrapercity, and I haven't found a single photo saying it's S12.

It's also currently not more than a bridge across the Wisła river that happens to have an exit at either side. The 4-lane divided section is no more than 3 km long.

Thanks for the reminder, and the map in the SSC [PL] thread was handy.

Do you know if A6/S3 is cosigned now? I've assumed it is.

I found pics of an S25 on new-looking signs on S5 on the south side of Bydoszcz. (I need to train my fingers to type "szcz" on the first try.) I think S25 is nothing more than a short multiplex with S5 between S10 and Bydgoszcz. I guess that when a DK route like DK25 is concurrent with an S route like S5, they both get the S.

I think it's an error, there is no such thing as an S25.

A section of A1 opened on December 15th, from Bełk to Żory. It was planned to open it all the way to Świerklany, but flooding postponed its planned opening to early 2011.

Two more motorway sections opened on December 30th;

* A8 (labeled as S8 I believe) between Magnice (DK8) and A4 interchange (~6 km)
* S3 between Mysliborz and Gorzow Wielkopolski (27 km)
