ADOT is building a US 93 bypass just east of Wickenburg. As part of the project, US 60 will be relocated near the new junction with US 93 to make room for a roundabout and to use a new wider bridge over the Hassayampa River. One of the existing US 60 bridges over the will be converted to a foot bridge while the other bridge is demolished. Anybody who has clinched that short section of US 60 will have to re-clinch it.
While in Arizona this month, I saw the new US 93 bypass. The bypass itself is still under construction, but the relocated US 60 appears near ready to be opened through the US 93 roundabout. The junction of the relocated US 93 and the current US 93 will also be a roundabout.

According to this article, the south Wickenburg roundabout is open, meaning that the relocation of US 60 has been completed. The north roundabout on US 93 will be partially opened to allow roads to be properly tied into the new roundabout, but the US 93 bypass itself is not open yet. |
