# Planning studies have been completed for Hwy 63 from Hwy 55 to Hwy 881, outlining the ultimate twinning alignment and future acccess points to the highway.
# Functional planning study completed for ultimate freeway configuration of Hwy 63 from King Street to Confederation Way.
# Twinning of Hwy 63 from south of Hwy 881 to south of Hwy 69 is underway and will be completed by fall 2008.
# Widening and paving of Hwy 63 from Hwy 69 to Beacon Hill Drive is scheduled to occur in 2008.
# Paving of Hwy 63 from Hospital Street to Athabasca River and the northland lane of Hwy 63 from Fort McMurray to south of Suncor is nearing completion.
# Paving of Hwy 63 from north of King Street Interchange to south of Suncor is nearing completion.
# Twinning construction of Hwy 63 from Suncor to north of Mildred Lake is in progress.
# Work on the new five lane Athabasca River Bridge will run from summer 2008 to summer 2011. |
