The NB8 Marysville Bypass opened Tuesday. A few changes:
--
(Canada) New Brunswick NB 8: Removed from [Bridge Street, Canada Street and] NB 148, and relocated onto a controlled access bypass to the east of Marysville, Nashwaak, Durham Bridge and Taymouth, between Bridge Street and NB 148.
NB105:
Depending on the routing of NB148, GibSt -> NB148, potentially.
Depending on the routing of NB148, StMarSt_N -> NB148, potentially.
(Canada) New Brunswick NB 107: Extended eastward from NB 148 to NB 8. Moved waypoint NB8 from NB 148 to the Marysville Bypass.
(Canada) New Brunswick NB 628: Removed from Penniac Bridge and River Road between NB 148 and Penniac Road, and relocated onto Penniac Road between River Road and NB 8.
(Canada) New Brunswick NB 148: Route Added.
Follows the bypassed section of old NB 8. I don't know where the southern terminus is yet. A few possibilities:
* It follows old NB8 all the way, down Bridge St.
* It stops at the city limits (a la 365 in Tracadie-Sheila).
* It's been extended all the way down Canada and Gibson streets.
* It follows Killarney Rd and St Marys St to meet NB105 at Maple St.
Until I learn definitively, I'll just have my local file follow old NB8 for the time being, and keep the old waypoints alive.

My inside sources in the506 wrote: | Went back up as far as Durham Bridge and didn't see a single 148 sign. Guessing they're just not all up yet. | I'll hold off on this update until I have a clearer picture what's going on. |

FWIW, Google now has all of old Route 8 labeled as Route 148, including Bridge St. |

And now? That's still the case for the Google Maps website. The mobile website and API flavoured maps only show 148 as far south as Killarney Rd. Meanwhile, OpenStreetMaps has 148 following Killarney Rd and St Mary's St all the way down to Route 105 at Maple St. The mystery deepens... |

The description on Wikipedia agrees with OSM. I've asked the user who created the article about the sources of his info, just to be sure. |

Google agrees with OSM & Wikipedia now. Going ahead and getting this update ready; getting it off my "Need more info" list and onto my "To be submitted" list.
