Noticed while fighting through the snowstorm yesterday morning that DE 16 is signed east of DE 1 at the DE 1/16 intersection. Because of said snowstorm, I did not attempt to drive it.
DDOT's functional classification map doesn't appear to show DE 16 east of DE 1, but DDOT's 2012 traffic volume map plus a few online map providers (namely MapQuest OpenMap and Google) do show DE 16 out to Broadkill Beach.
Have not checked DelDOT's shapefiles yet. _________________ Froggie

Read that. The most recent DelDOT Routes file is still dated back to 2011 and does not show 16 east of 1.
But on a related note, it does show DE 30 more clearly, and that's something that'll need to be fixed in the Highway Browser, as DE 30 now ends at DE 1 at the new (but not yet finished/opened) overpass on Wilkins Rd over DE 1. _________________ Froggie

I'm still waiting for DelDOT to clearly tell us where DE 16 ends. I don't want to change the route until the situation is made clearer. |

I did a field check a few weeks ago. No signs beyond what's posted at/near DE 1. Sometimes you can tell from the way the pavement is, but that's inconclusive here too. _________________ Froggie
