|
|
It looks as though the US127 bypass around Albany is complete. I travelled through town on the business route, figuring the bypass wasn't open yet. I found that US127Bus was signed southbound past KY1590, and south of town I got onto the bypass again, the routing different from my GPS.
At present, OSM and even the KYTC docs and maps don't have this routing yet, but fortunately, Google Maps does. While the bypass routing looks right, Google Maps is wrong about US127Bus: it still meets US127 north of town using what's in the HB; it DOES NOT use KY1590. The southern portion of US127Bus looks right, making the total length of US127Bus about 5.4 miles. Also, the route has been realigned south of town to the TN border, even following the KY/TN state line for a brief moment, so some points like KY969 and KY3066 will need be moved slightly.

The KY changes will be made in the next data update.
James, US 127 runs briefly along the TN/KY line (but didn't previously). The KYTC data exclude the part on the line, so I think that section belongs in TN US 127. |

Copy that. I'll try to get to it asap. |

The KY side is up-to-date in the TM HB.
The TN side still needs its border coords changed: it looks like the existing TN/KY point could be relabeled as KY1076, and TN/KY moved to the coords from the KY file. |

The 'old' location for TN/KY isn't part of KY-1076 anymore, as that intersection was moved a little bit to the East (see updated Google Sat Imagery as well as OSM). Since I couldn't ID any street name at the old state border, I've relabeled it at 'OldTN/KY', but I'm open for any other suggestions till it's pulled in (GitHub) and can adjust it.
Also, since it seems that the TN/KY border is just a tick North of the intersection with TN-111, the TN/KY location in KY's file will need to be updated as well to reflect this since it seems to be possible to turn left onto TN-111 without going into KY. |
