Even though it's been open for awhile now, WVDOT official data from January still shows the new route as proposed and the old route as WV 9. _________________ Froggie

July '14 StreetView imagery:
https://goo.gl/maps/618J4
https://goo.gl/maps/rhBjO <- This was the only 'new' shield I could find on the highway itself. The 'Southern' end @ new WV-9 still is '13 imagery and '08 imagery along 'old' WV-9.
Here on the 2015 State Map, the road is in black which seems to indicate it's a state route, however, no WV-115 icons are shown.
This is pushing me to want to include it, but I still want some signage proof @ the Southern end first proving WV didn't for some odd reason stop the designation mid-way. |

I was just in Charles Town earlier today.
There's still no WV 115 signage at the Charles Town Rd./WV 9 junction east of Charles Town, or on Charles Town Rd. westbound until just south of US 340. Unless I missed some eastbound signage in my rear-view mirror, the signage situation south/east of US 340 is unchanged.
However, there is a major extension of the west end of WV 115, to near Martinsburg. It no longer turns at CR 9/1 (Currie Rd.) to connect to WV 9. Rather, it continues west on War Admirals Dr., turns north at CR 8 (Wiltshire Rd.) through an interchange with WV 9, then on the other side it turns west on Charles Town Rd., continuing through an intersection with WV 480, to Baker Heights where it hangs a left on Opequon Connector to end at another interchange with WV 9. This is the routing shown on Google Maps.
BTW, no change needed to WV 480, other than to rename its southwestern endpoint from ChaTownRd to WV115. All the signage at the WV 115/WV 480 intersection shows 480 only going northeast toward Shepherdstown and not southwest toward WV 9. The only state route signage on CR 1 (Leetown Rd.) between WV 9 and WV 115 is "To WV 480" NB and "To WV 9" SB. |

Thanks for the update about WV-115 being extended 'westward'. I'll work on fixing it up later today. |

Update is now live for the 'Northern' extension. Leaving open for now because of the 'Southern' part that still is lacking signage. |

If there are designation files or other state documents clearly stating that the "southern" (eastern) segment is part of WV 115 all the way to WV 9, I suggest not waiting for signage to show up, and just rely on the limited signage on the east side of the US340 interchange. It's been long enough, if there were going to be signage added it probably would've been done by now. |
