|
|
I just went through Colorado Springs on a trip and it looks like I-25 Bus has been removed and the US highways have been moved to be concurrent with I-25. The green signs did have markings that looked like shields used to be there, but had been removed. On Nevada Ave, I did not see any signs indicating the routes were there. I may have missed them not always paying attention to all the signs along the road, but don't think that was the case since all three being along there would have been a fairly large assembly just for reassurance. I didn't get any pictures along I-25 or catch for sure about the rerouting of the US routes. The state map does not indicate these routes on the Colorado Springs Metro Map. That map doesn't indicate the existance of US85 or US87 at all though. |

US 85/87 were never marked along Business I-25 in Colorado Springs. At least, not in the 15 years I lived there.

Just to clarify -- US 85 did follow Bus I-25, but there were no reassurance markers. I'm pretty sure US87 was on I-25 through Colorado Springs.

Sending in updated files.
Our route for US87 also has it concurrent with US85 S of Colarado Springs - US87 seems to be totally unsigned in CO, and while Google has our route, other sources say it's wholly concurrent with I-25.
I've gone with the latter (I-25), is that right? |

Correct -- US 87 is completely unsigned in Colorado. If I recall correctly, US 87 is concurrent with I-25 through Colorado.

I vaguely recall that routing (it follows US 85). I couldn't tell you if it has changed. It is unsigned (except maybe on the BGS on the south end).

The highway browser now shows US 87 concurrent with I-25 through Colorado Springs, but US 85 still going through town, which is contrary to the updates page which claims both are on I-25 all the way through. Which is correct? |

No - they say different things...
Quote: | Colorado US 85: Removed from Nevada Avenue and relocated onto I-25 between I-25 Exits 128 and 148A.
Colorado US 87: Removed from Nevada Avenue and relocated onto I-25 between I-25 Exits 140 and 148A. | I think I forgot to put Santa Fe Ave, Ventucci Blvd and Lake Avenue in the US 87 entry.
They are also back to front.
Tim, please can you change it to:
Quote: | Colorado US 85: Removed from Nevada Avenue and relocated onto I-25 between I-25 Exits 140 and 148A.
Colorado US 87: Removed from Santa Fe Avenue, Ventucci Boulevard, Lake Avenue and Nevada Avenue and relocated onto I-25 between I-25 Exits 128 and 148A. | ? |

That's backwards. US 85 followed Santa Fe, Venetucci, and Lake (the original exit numbers are correct, as US 85 had more mileage on surface roads in the Colorado Springs area).

The HB shows US 85 still following Nevada Avenue, rather than I-25, between I-25 exits 140 and 148A. Maybe an updated file didn't load? |
